How to Share My Faith

So often, we think of evangelism as "go get 'em." Go get people. More
people. Nice people, people like us. Especially people who can "help" our
church. But this is all a matter of exterior action and cultural values, and
not interior transformation. Being a follower Jesus and becoming an
evangelist (a carrier of the good news). In becoming fishers, it is we who
are changed.

Dropping it all to go fishing is a matter of identity, orientation, and
vocation. It is a calling not to change everybody else. It is a calling that
changes us. We then are a people who spread the "substance of hope."
I close with some tips that I found in an issue of homiletics. May it inspire
us to live for others as Christ has lived for us:
Tips for Reeling in Disciples

1. Be with people on their turf
2 . Be real, be vulnerable, be honest
3. Be creative; Do old things in new ways
4. Be spiritual, not churchy.
5- be patient
6. Be ready for surprises
7. Be willing to step out of your comfort zone
8. Be on the lookout for where God is at work
9. Be praying

The Plan of Salvation

1. Read scriptures or have person read scripture below (out loud), His preferable to let them read for themselves.
2. Have them explain or you explain one at a time, what it (scripture) means.
3. If you explain, make sure you get ·their consent and input.

WHO IS GOOD? ROMAN 3:10
As it is written. there is none righteous, no. not one:
WHO HAS SINNED? ROMAN 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

WHERE SIN CAME FROM? ROMAN 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that ·an have sinned:

GOD'S PRICE ON SIN ROMAN 6:23
For the wages of sin (is) death;· but the gift of God (is) eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

OUR WAY OUT: ROMAN 5:8
But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.

Roman 10:9-11
That if thou shalt confess with they-mouth the Lord J8$US, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (11) For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall\not be ashamed.

Take God at. his word and claim his promise for your salvation.

4. Once you finish, ask if this makes sense to them. Ask them if they are ready to accept Christ as their savior. Ask _if they want to invite Christ into their life and receive eternal life.

5. Ask them if they are ready to accept Christ: Lead them in the Sinner's Prayer.

PRAYER:
Father this is (name) forgive me for my sins. Come into my life. Save me. I believe in my heart that your son Jesus died and rose again for my sins. I am now accepting your gift of eternal life. AMEN.

ASSURANCE:
1 John 5:11-13
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal I~, and this life is in his Son.

(12) He that hath the Son hath life; (and) he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

(13) These things have I written unto you that-believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life,_ and that ye may believe on the name of the
Son of God.

ABC's Plan of Salvation

(A) Admit to God that you are a sinner. Repent, turning away
from your sin. (Romans 3 :23; 7:23)

(B) Believe in Jesus Christ as God’s Son and accept Jesus' gift of forgiveness from sin. He took the penalty for your sin by dying on the cross. (John l: 12; 3: l6)

(C) Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Romans 10:9)

You may pray a prayer to repent as you call on God to save you: “Dear God, I know You love me. I confess my sins and need of Salvation. I turn away from my sin and place my faith in Jesus as my Savior and Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
